Hand-knit by Coast Salish artisans in the Cowichan Valley

These authentic knit slippers are handmade by First Nations Coast Salish artisans in the Cowichan Valley. Each pair is individually crafted, making every set one of a kind in its own size, pattern, and design details.

These feature rustic, minimally processed, lanolin rich wool with the organic variation prized in traditionally hand- prepared Cowichan knits.

Warm, cozy, and made with traditional craftsmanship, these slippers offer the comfort and character that Cowichan Valley knits are known for for well over a century. Whether you’re shopping for yourself or looking for a meaningful gift, each pair is a beautiful piece of authentic handmade work.

Because every pair is handmade, slight variations in size, pattern, and colour are part of what make them special.

This pair features:

  • Approximate fit: Women's 11-13 / Men's 9-11 (11" length)

  • Height: Tall slipper with folded cuff (approx. 8" tall)

  • Main colours: Natural cream, taupe grey, and deep brown

  • Pattern/design: Traditional bird motif with bold contrast banding

    • Fit notes: Roomy, cozy fit with generous length and comfortable space for socks. Can fit a larger sized foot due to natural stretch.

    • One-of-a-kind handmade pair

    Final Notes:
Natural wool character: Made from minimally processed wool with visible lanolin, soft halo, and occasional natural texture variations that reflect the authenticity of traditional hand-spun-style fibre.

Please review the listing photos and size notes carefully before purchasing, as each pair is unique.

Each listing is for one unique handmade pair. Once sold, this exact pair is gone.
