Return with support
Rebuild confidence after time away from foot care without repeating a complete foundational program.
Foot Care Nurse Refresher · Duncan, BC + Online
A focused return to strong clinical foundations—with education shaped around the nurse you are now.
Designed for Canadian nurses who have already completed foot care nurse education and want an up-to-date, practical review—not a repeat of an entry-level program. Combine a self-paced online refresher with one private clinical day and continued connection to the Longevity student community.
Why refresh?
Knowledge changes. Skills feel different after time away. Even experienced nurses can benefit from another set of clinically trained eyes on their technique, judgment and workflow.
Rebuild confidence after time away from foot care without repeating a complete foundational program.
Receive direct, respectful feedback on the habits, movements and decisions that are difficult to assess on your own.
Bring assessment, treatment flow, infection prevention, documentation and referral judgment back into one coherent practice.
Two ways to learn
Choose either component independently or complete both as one coordinated refresher package.
Part one · Online
A focused review of the knowledge that supports safe, thoughtful foot care nursing. Lessons will revisit essential concepts through concise teaching, demonstrations, case-based examples and practical resources.
No additional textbook purchase is required. The necessary review material will be provided within the course.
Part two · In person
Spend a full day in Duncan with Chrystal for direct observation, immediate feedback and training shaped around your current experience. Before the day, you will identify the skills and situations you most want to address so the available time has a clear purpose.
Supervised work with real clients may be included when clinically appropriate and subject to client availability. Priorities are agreed in advance; one day is not intended to cover every possible skill.
Online curriculum
This is not a condensed version of the entry-level certificate program. It is a purposeful review for nurses who already have foundational education and need to retrieve, organize and update what they know.
Private clinical education
One-to-one training allows the day to respond to your technique, your clinical reasoning and the kind of practice you are building—not a generic schedule designed for a room full of learners.
Feedback is most useful when it is specific enough to change what happens in your very next appointment.
Direct, practical teaching with Chrystal Stevens
Identify your experience, current practice, confidence gaps and specific learning goals.
Receive immediate feedback while technique and clinical thought processes can still be changed in the moment.
Leave with priorities for continued development and a professional community you can continue turning to.

Your educator
Chrystal teaches from active clinical practice, years of nursing judgment and the real experience of building and operating a foot care business—not from theory alone.
An LPN since 2006 and owner of Longevity Foot Care since 2016, Chrystal is a Licensed Education Provider with Foot Canada Training and the British Columbia representative for the Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses for 2025–2026.
Her teaching is direct, open and practical. She looks at the whole appointment—clinical reasoning, technique, communication, documentation and workflow—and shares the lessons that help nurses practise with greater clarity and confidence.
Eligibility and fit
The Refresher does not replace complete foundational foot care nurse education and does not expand a nurse's legal scope of practice. Clinical participants must hold active Canadian nursing registration in good standing and appropriate professional liability coverage.
Each nurse remains responsible for practising within the legislation, standards, employer policies and individual competence requirements that apply in their jurisdiction.
