Self-paced Foot Care Nurse Refresher
A focused review of the knowledge that supports safe, thoughtful foot care nursing. Lessons will revisit essential concepts through concise teaching, demonstrations, case-based examples and practical resources.

One private clinical refresher day
Spend a full day in Duncan with Chrystal for direct observation, immediate feedback and training shaped around your current experience. Before the day, you will identify the skills and situations you most want to address so the available time has a clear purpose.

Chrystal Stevens, LPN, Advanced Foot Care Nurse
An LPN since 2006 and owner of Longevity Foot Care since 2016, Chrystal is a Licensed Education Provider with Foot Canada Training and the British Columbia representative for the Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses for 2025–2026.
Her teaching is direct, open and practical. She looks at the whole appointment—clinical reasoning, technique, communication, documentation and workflow—and shares the lessons that help nurses practise with greater clarity and confidence.

The Refresher does not replace complete foundational foot care nurse education and does not expand a nurse's legal scope of practice. Clinical participants must hold active Canadian nursing registration in good standing and appropriate professional liability coverage.
Each nurse remains responsible for practising within the legislation, standards, employer policies and individual competence requirements that apply in their jurisdiction.

What to know before registering
When will the online refresher launch?
The online course is planned for fall 2026. A precise date will be announced once the complete curriculum and student experience are ready. Nurses on the priority list will receive the details first.
Can I request the private clinical day before the online course launches?
Yes. Private clinical refresher days may be requested now and are scheduled individually, subject to educator availability and an appropriate clinical plan.
Do I need to purchase a textbook?
No. This refresher is designed for nurses who have already completed foundational training. The materials required for the online review will be provided within the course.
Is the clinical refresher truly one-to-one?
Yes. The clinical day is private training with Chrystal, allowing the plan and feedback to respond to your existing experience, technique and learning priorities.
Will every skill be covered in one day?
No. Before the day, you and Chrystal will identify the most useful priorities. The goal is focused observation and meaningful refinement, not rushing through every possible topic.
Who receives access to the private Facebook group?
Paid and registered Refresher students receive ongoing access. Membership is manually approved after registration is confirmed and remains subject to the group's professional standards.
Does this course provide a new qualification or expand my scope?
No. It is continuing education for previously trained foot care nurses. It does not replace foundational certification, create a new professional designation or expand nursing scope.
Are travel and accommodation included?
No. Clinical training is held in Duncan, British Columbia. Travel, accommodation and personal expenses are the student's responsibility.
